Women In Trucking Names Candor Expedite’s Cindi Smith a Top Woman to Watch in Transp

Plano, Texas – (March 12, 2024) -- Candor Expedite, a transportation leader known for its ability to exceed expectations with time-sensitive shipments, today announced that Cindi Smith, Operations Specialist, was selected as Women in Trucking’s Top Women to Watch in 2024.

Women In Trucking is a nonprofit association established in 2017 to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry. Each year it recognizes the top performers in the industry who not only have had significant career accomplishments in the last year, but go the extra mile to support other women and help to improve gender diversity – at their own companies and/or industry-wide.

“I’m so excited to be included in the amazing line-up of women for this honor. It’s really a direct reflection of the entire Candor team that I love to support — and a recognition of our collective hard work, motivation, and enthusiasm to grow the Candor Expedite brand,” said Cindi Smith.

Nominated by her peers at Candor Expedite, Cindi has built a great reputation among colleagues and customers. During her first quarter on the multi-modal team, Cindi achieved the highest profit margin in the company. This accomplishment underscores her quick acclimatization to the role and showcases her ability to drive tangible financial success.

“Cindi’s commitment to Candor's core value of Integrity has been consistently acknowledged with multiple culture awards, submitted by her peers,” said Nicole Glenn, founder and CEO of Candor Expedite. “Her dedication to honesty and respect in everything she does fosters a positive
workplace culture and serves as a role model for others,” she added.

As for the future of women in logistics —- they have made great strides in advancing in the supply chain according to Gartner’s latest survey. Their research shows that women make up around 41% of the total supply chain workforce today and 26% of the C-suite and executive leadership. Gartner also voiced concerns about the current talent shortage. There is ample room for more women to join the supply chain and logistics industry in numerous roles.
