Avetta Honors 11 Companies for Global Achievement in Safety, Sustainability and Innovation

June 28, 2023, OREM, Utah, and HOUSTON — Avetta®, the leading provider of supply chain risk management software, announced the winners of the 2023 Avetta Awards, chosen from a list of 36 finalists across six categories. These companies and individuals represent global leaders that have prioritized a culture of safety and sustainability across multiple operating sites in numerous countries.

The Avetta Awards are based on a set of objective criteria and judged by Avetta safety and compliance experts in addition to a rotating panel of industry executives, entrepreneurs, innovators, and compliance experts. This year’s industry judges included Adele Abrams, President, Law Office of Adele L. Abrams P.C.; Brian Fielkow, EVP of Risk, Acrisure; and Subena Colligan, EHS Coach & Consultant and principal of S. Colligan Coaching.

Award winners represent companies that have significantly reduced global incident rates, including one winner that reduced vendor incident rates by 38% and another that improved compliance rates by 33% in just four months. Other winners include companies that have automated risk compliance through API integrations, and early adopters of new ESG and GHG solutions.

Toyota Material Handling MidSouth’s Forklift Donation Raises $40,000 for Higher Education

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 28, 2024 – Toyota Material Handling MidSouth, a full-service dealer for Toyota Material Handling, showcased its dedication to fostering the next generation of industry professionals by donating a 5,000-pound-capacity Toyota Core IC Pneumatic forklift to the Concrete Industry Management’s (CIM) annual charity auction on January 22.

The forklift’s winning bid of $40,000 significantly contributed to the auction’s total proceeds of $2.15 million, supporting CIM’s mission to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in the concrete industry. Offered at five universities, CIM equips students with technical, communication and management expertise, preparing them for successful careers in a rapidly evolving industry.
