SENTRY ELECTRICAL GROUP, INC. EXPANDS INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL SERVICES DIVISION WITH MATERIALS HANDLING INSTALLATION SERVICES

[LAWRENCEVILLE, GEORGIA, January 2021] – Sentry Electrical Group, Inc. (Sentry) adds Materials Handling installation services to its customer offerings within its Industrial Electrical Services division. This addition to Sentry’s comprehensive renewable energy services is a direct response to customer requests, not only maintaining Sentry’s commitment to safe, quality project delivery, but also improving production efficiency.  

“Sentry is known throughout the industry for our reliable, quality work. Offering Materials Handling installation services only furthers our expansive renewable energy services that our customers trust,” said Sentry President Norm Cowden. “We are excited to offer this new service, as well as welcome Jim Metheney to lead the team.”


Jim is recognized throughout the industry for his 22 years of materials handling expertise. He earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2012, and has experience in controls engineering and large-scale project management.

“Sentry’s extensive materials handling capabilities include installation and integration of network cabling, conveyor handling systems, and electrical and control systems; performing emergency and scheduled control systems maintenance; project management; and troubleshooting and repairs,” said Jim Metheney, manager of Industrial Construction and Automation. “Because our site supervisors pre-commission work, we are able to focus on safely delivering our services, while decreasing project delivery time and increasing efficiency.”
