LocatorX Names Pat Pickren Chief Technology Officer

LocatorX, which provides accurate, inexpensive and flexible tracking technology to companies across a variety of industries, announced today that Pat Pickren has been named Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

As CTO, Pickren will manage the growing LocatorX product management team and oversee all product initiatives from design to execution. Pickren will report to President and CEO Scott Fletcher.

LocatorX technology enables brands and consumers to access an item's current location and audit trail from its origin, providing protection against theft, counterfeiting and product diversion while increasing consumer engagement with manufacturers.

Prior to joining LocatorX, Pickren was with Ultimate Software for over 12 years in product management, rising to the role of Senior Director of Product Strategy. In his nearly 20-year career, Pickren also gained experience working with software and technology companies such as Ceridian and RSM McGladrey Employer Services.

LocatorX's suite of solutions include unique 2D bar codes, an NFC/Bluetooth-encrypted chip and an upcoming Global Resource Locator to be powered by a Solid-State Miniature Atomic Clock. The clock is the first of its kind, and is patented by the University of Oxford, which has granted LocatorX exclusive rights to the technology for commercial purposes.
