ShipBob Opens Moreno Valley, CA Fulfillment Center

Nearly 5 Times Larger Than Original SoCal Location and Opening 100 New Jobs

CHICAGO, IL -- September 12, 2019 -- ShipBob today announced the opening of its largest fulfillment center to-date in Moreno Valley, CA. At 185,000 square feet, the brand new state-of-the-art fulfillment center is nearly five times larger than the current Los Angeles location. This expansion will help ShipBob take on more customers, further streamline fulfillment, and bring next-day and 2-day shipping to ecommerce businesses. The new fulfillment center is in close proximity to both the Port of LA and Port of Long Beach, the top two busiest ports in all of the US for ecommerce.

This news comes after ShipBob was ranked No. 99 on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in America last month. In the past year, ShipBob has increased the footprint of its fulfillment network by 334,000 square feet. The company opened a brand new fulfillment center a few months ago in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at 150,000 square feet. ShipBob allows ecommerce businesses to distribute their inventory across its locations, which also include Dallas and Chicago.


As ShipBob's largest fulfillment center in its entire US network, the new location will ship millions of units for thousands of customers this year. The fulfillment center's address is 28010 Eucalyptus Avenue, Moreno Valley, CA 92555 and is conveniently located within 15 miles of UPS, FedEx and other carriers. The location will continue to offer 2-day shipping for merchants' customers in the greater Los Angeles area in addition to expanded next-day and 2-day shipping coverage for more addresses throughout the West Coast.

"Los Angeles has been one of the most beneficial shipping locations for our merchants, and we knew we wanted to keep our roots there as we expanded into a much larger space," said ShipBob CEO and Co-Founder Dhruv Saxena. "We have many customers near there and even more who import into those ports. We're excited to continue to support our customers as they scale and as ShipBob grows as well."

ShipBob will also bring new jobs to the area with plans to hire more than 100 new employees and additional temp employees during peak season. Contributing to the expansion is Genaro Bugarin, the new General Manager of Moreno Valley. Prior to ShipBob, Burgarin was the Director of Fulfillment of Wayfair, where he ran a region of order fulfillment centers from the West Coast to the Central Region of the country. Bugarin also brings extensive experience in scaling fulfillment centers, building and leading high performing teams, along with network planning with emphasis in process improvements. He has also led network expansion and site leadership for Ingram Micro and Petco. Bugarin has a BS in Operations Management from Cal Poly and an MBA from Mt. St. Mary's University.
