Mike Wilson, Consolidated Chassis Management CEO, To Receive 2019 Silver Kingpin Award

Budd Lake, NJ, September 11, 2019--Mike Wilson, CEO, Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM), will receive the prestigious 2019 Silver Kingpin Award, which is presented by the? Intermodal Association of North America? (IANA). The award recognizes an individual's long-term contributions to intermodalism.

Mr. Wilson will be honored during the Intermodal Expo in Long Beach, CA on September 16th along with Steve Branscum, former executive of BNSF Railway.


"As a former IANA chairman, I have great respect for this organization and I am honored to be recognized by this top-notch group of industry leaders," said Mike Wilson. "My goal is to keep making valuable contributions to advance intermodalism as I move into the next facet of my career."

Named CEO of CCM in April 2019, Mr. Wilson is an industry veteran who has made significant contributions throughout his nearly four-decade career in international trade and transportation, including senior leadership roles with Crowley Maritime, United Arab Shipping, United States Lines, Atlantic Container Line, and most recently, Senior Vice President of Hamburg Sud North America.

Outside of his executive positions, Mr. Wilson also served on CCM's Board of Managers and was an officer of CCM's parent company, Ocean Carrier Equipment Management Association (OCEMA). These roles allowed Mr. Wilson the opportunity to steer the strategic direction of CCM as it evolved into the leading neutral manager of cooperative intermodal chassis pools in the US. CCM's chassis pools are designed to optimize service levels, enhance productivity and improve supply chain fluidity. CCM has an unmatched geographic scope with a network of six regional chassis pools containing more than 110,000 intermodal chassis at over 300 locations across the US.

"We have a vision for CCM that I am determined to see realized. I feel a personal responsibility to ensure the industry understands that the CCM Interoperable Gray Fleet model is the most sustainable chassis pool model in the market today," said Mr. Wilson. "Given our neutral position, CCM not only offers high quality equipment and full interoperability, but also a transparent cost model that creates a sense of fairness and encourages open competition."

Mr. Wilson is a past board member of the New York Shipping Association, has been an active member on the NYNJ Council on Port Performance, and participates in the Federal Maritime Commission's Supply Chain Innovation Team.

Mr. Wilson is the recipient of the 2018 Connie Award, which is presented by the Containerization & Intermodal Institute.
