MILWAUKEE (February 21, 2018) TEKLYNX International, the world's leading barcode and RFID labeling software developer and solutions provider, today reported an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integration with TEKLYNX SENTINEL and CODESOFT enterprise barcode labeling software solutions drove significant labeling improvements for US-based metal strut channel framing manufacturer Flex-Strut Inc. Notably, the ERP labeling integration allowed Flex-Strut Inc. to eliminate its labeling bottleneck, increasing its label printing speed by 100%.
A long-time TEKLYNX customer, Flex-Strut Inc. sought to improve workflow and consistency throughout its production facility and looked to its labeling operations for opportunities to do so. "With our former label process, we would produce and update each label for every sales order we processed, a process that would take longer than actually entering the sales order in the system," states Flex-Strut Inc. Director of Information Technology, Terry Kakavros. In many instances, the company's production operators were entering data that already existed in its ERP system.
"Based on Flex-Strut Inc.'s labeling requirements and goals, we knew integrating the company's ERP system with TEKLYNX' SENTINEL print automation combined with TEKLYNX' CODESOFT label design would eliminate labeling inefficiencies and position Flex-Strut Inc. to improve label accuracy and printing speed," commented Robert Lenski, TEKLYNX Solutions Engineer. The addition of print automation increased Flex-Strut Inc.'s labeling accuracy by 25%. The company was also able to eliminate its labeling bottleneck, resulting in an 100% increase in label printing speed.

"Following a label design demonstration from our team, including instruction on how to design labels using database connections, Flex-Strut Inc. was able to easily implement the upgraded system," said Lenski.
