Budd Lake, NJ. November 14, 2017. We are pleased to announce the launch of our premium chassis reservation system, a pOréal designed to deliver a seamless experience for chassis customers looking to utilize premium equipment.
CCM began management of the first premium pool in July 2016 in the Gulf featuring units with radial tires, LED lights and auto tire inflation. Following the successful launch in the Gulf, the Premium Pool expanded its reach into the Southeast and Ohio Valley regions and continues to grow as demand increases with current inventory exceeding 300 units. The Chassis Reservation System provides a seamless method to secure this premium equipment.
The system supports various users including motor carriers, depot managers and chassis providers. Motor carriers can register to use the system to view chassis inventory data and reserve chassis online; depot managers can register to view chassis inventory data and view reservations; and chassis providers will have the ability to view reservations.
Inventory will be displayed by pool, city, depot/facility, and equipment size. Additionally the chassis customer will be able to specify quantity, chassis provider, return date and return location.
"The premium chassis product serves a demand we saw in the market and has proven helpful to motor carriers moving in closed loops often at long distances and in recent months has served as a buffer to equipment supply post hurricanes or other negative impacts on the general chassis supply," says Jon Poelma, President and Chief Operating Officer. "The reservation system for premium units was the next step to support the intermodal community and provide a platform for easier access to equipment."
Once the chassis is reserved, the user will use the chassis reservation number to pick up a bare chassis at a premium location. The reservation functionality adds efficiency to the logistics process by giving the chassis customer the ability to view inventory, create and manage their reservations. Currently premium locations can be found in the Gulf, South Atlantic and Ohio Valley regions.
Chassis Customers can access the site by logging on to www.chassisreservationsystem.com . New Chassis Reservation System users must first be registered to begin using the system. Users can access the reservation registration by going to www.chassisreservationsystem.com.
