Lantech says its new Q-400XT stretch-wrapping system greatly reduces the cost and time needed for pallet wrapping. The Q-400XT features Lantech's Simple Automation, which eliminates the need for the forklift operator to touch the load or machine. Once activated by a remote lanyard, the Q-400XT automatically attaches the film to the load, wraps it, locks the load to the pallet with a Pallet-Grip film cable, and cuts the film. The Q-400XT improves efficiency and ergonomics for forklift truck operators, allowing them to simply drive up, position the pallet on the turntable, start the machine with the lanyard switch, and drive away. The Q-400XT can wrap loads up to 80 inches tall and is designed to wrap 35 to 45 pallet loads per hour. The all electric Q-400XT eliminates pneumatics and runs on 115-volt power, allowing for convenient relocation to suit work flows.
Besides reducing the time needed to wrap a load, Lantech's Simple Automation also reduces fuel consumption, the potential for product damage during handling, operator exposure to safety hazards, and wear on forklift truck equipment.
Classed as a compact premium stretch wrapper, the Q-400XT features a fast 15-rpm turntable, engineered for rugged service with a load capacity of 5,000 pounds. The Q-400XT is easy to operate as it has a membrane touch panel, featuring color-coded functions for quick, clear identification. Options include an electronic scale, loading ramp, extended wrap height to 110 inches, 30-inch film carriage, and pit mounting configuration.
