FourKites Appoints New Chief Technology Officer

CHICAGO - June 12, 2019 - FourKites®, the leader in predictive supply chain visibility, today announced the appointment of Vivek Vaid as the company's Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Vaid will drive the technology strategy and spearhead development of FourKites' leading visibility and machine learning platform to help supply chains become more adaptive to real-world events and create unprecedented opportunities for collaboration between supply chain partners using data-centric approaches. Vaid succeeds co-founder Arun Chandrasekaran, who stays on as a technology advisor to the company.

An industry veteran, Vaid brings more than 20 years of experience leading software development and data analytics teams. Prior to FourKites, he served as Chief Data Officer for Uptake. Previously, Vaid led a global team of over 500 employees across 13 countries as Morningstar's Head of Institution and Platform technologies. Earlier in his career, Vaid served in a variety of roles in the consulting, retail, airline and financial industries, building cutting-edge products and large-scale distributed systems.

Vaid, based in Chicago, holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Mumbai, India, and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
