Storage design company and Western Pacific Storage Solutions enable faster growth for distributor

Expertise of a Phoenix-based industrial storage design studio and Western Pacific' broad industrial shelving offering, support distributor CEO's vision for future growth and exceed his expectations.

Storage design company and Western Pacific Storage Solutions enable faster growth for distributor

Los Angeles - March 11th, 2019. Recently, a regional distributor of parts and maintenance supplies in the southwest U.S., possessing an impressive catalog of thousands of different products, was experiencing growth without adequate space. The answer to their problem was creating a three-times-larger storage facility with conveyors executed by a Phoenix-based industrial storage design company and storage-equipment manufacturer, Western Pacific Storage Solutions (www.wpss.com).

The distributor CEO came to the industrial storage design company with his vision for additional growth. Since the distributor CEO did not know quite what he needed, the Phoenix-based project manager showed him a newly renovated facility that could facilitate his vision - specifically, how they would engineer the space for a future 2-level pick module.

"We took him into a facility that we had designed for another customer. We showed him how we could facilitate his vision. The distributor already had a pretty good shelving system before we came along, but we were able to show him things he didn't have - like an understanding of spacing above and below items that were being picked—shelf levels, as well as where to place the products closest to the conveyor."

Once the facility tour was completed, the CEO knew exactly what he was looking for: a new facility that was three times larger than the current one. The industrial storage design team and Western Pacific Storage Solutions then updated, enhanced and created material handling efficiencies that the distributor had never known in the past.

The industrial storage design team along with Western Pacific paid attention to everything—even the little things like work stations and carts. The storage design project manager in charge stated, "Most industrial shelving systems suppliers provide standard gray, but with Western Pacific Storage Solutions, we were able to use a color that represented the brand of the distributor's company. The distributor CEO was very happy and now proudly tells us how he enjoys taking his customers thru his new color-branded and highly efficient facility."

Moreover, the Phoenix-based designer said, "Western Pacific Storage Solutions' original boltless RiveTier product is the premier boltless steel shelving product in the nation. Western Pacific is very responsive to us; we trust them. We know they're going to make the project look like a million bucks."

Western Pacific Storage Solutions' CEO, Tom Rogers, added, we enjoy supporting companies like this one; our engineers work side-by-side to create a storage solution that serves the end-user's efficiency goals well for years and years."

Western Pacific Storage Solutions' sales manager pointed out that the RiveTier product contributes to the profits of its installers, by reducing installation costs by 30-40% over bolted industrial shelving. With its boltless connections, assembly is quicker, easier and RiveTier has no small parts to misplace.
