Snapfulfil cloud WMS takes NetSuite to the next level for Westside Wholesale

Snapfulfil cloud WMS takes NetSuite to the next level for Westside Wholesale

Westside Wholesale has selected the Snapfulfil Cloud WMS to enhance efficiency and productivity in its warehousing and fulfillment operations.

Westside Wholesale is a wholesale distributor of products for the electrical, lighting, heating & cooling, air quality, plumbing, security, pool supply, and other related industries. The company operates a 30,000 sq ft warehouse in Louisville.

Having previously used paper-based processes driven by the inventory management module of its NetSuite ERP, the growing company's existing warehouse management system was struggling to support its commitments to fulfillment accuracy and same day shipping. Training of new warehouse personnel was also a challenge.

Following a review of the WMS market, Westside Wholesale selected the Snapfulfil Built for NetSuite WMS to extend the functionality of NetSuite with an advanced, real-time warehouse management system which would support optimized workflows and real-time, RF-driven task management to increase warehouse efficiency and productivity.

In the inbound process alone, the implementation of Snapfulfil will allow Westside Wholesale to divert one full-time staff member from the warehouse into an external sales role.

Westside Wholesale's COO, Joe Aleman said: "We looked at Peoplevox and HighJump, but the only system that offered quick and seamless integration with our NetSuite ERP was Snapfulfil."

"Snapfulfil was the only system that met all of our current requirements, as well as demonstrating the vision and flexibility to support us as we explore new opportunities to grow our business."

Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

Grocery shoppers in Australia will soon be able to zip in and out of the store in record time, bypassing the lines for cashiers or self-checkout kiosks altogether. They can just walk in, make their selections, and walk out with their bags in hand.

The secret to this express shopping experience is the “Caper Cart,” an AI (artificial intelligence)-powered smart trolley from San Francisco-based Instacart. In its first deployment in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the system is being tested by Coles Supermarkets, a food and beverage retailer with more than 1,800 grocery and liquor stores throughout the country.

How green is your glue?

If you’re looking to make the packaging process more eco-friendly, the obvious place to start is with the box itself. And that’s exactly what Salt Lake City-based Packsize did when it made its initial foray into sustainable packaging back in 2002. That year, the company launched its first product, an innovative on-demand packaging system designed to reduce cardboard waste (and the need for filler material) by creating a right-sized box for each shipment.

Now the company is ready for the next step: greening up the glue.
