InfinityQS Promotes Eric Weisbrod to Vice President of Product Management

Fairfax, Va.—Aug. 2, 2018— InfinityQS® International, Inc. (InfinityQS), the global authority on data-driven enterprise quality solutions, announces the promotion of Eric Weisbrod to Vice President of Product Management. After a year of record-breaking growth in software sales in 2017, InfinityQS recognized the need to support its rapidly growing Enact® user base and created a new product management team led by Weisbrod. In this new role, Weisbrod will help drive the evolution of InfinityQS Enact, a native-cloud Quality Intelligence solution, and support the ongoing success of the company's clients and Global Channel Partners.

Doug Fair, Chief Operating Officer, InfinityQS, said, "As a first-of-its-kind solution, Enact has garnered interest from some of the world's largest and most successful manufacturing organizations. It is gaining traction and momentum across the industry by helping manufacturers leverage quality data as a competitive advantage. Eric and the new product management team will support this rapid growth and help to intelligently prioritize product development based on client feedback and industry trends."

Weisbrod will work closely with both Fair and Vice President of Product Design, Matt Tweedy, to support development of Enact's strategy and functionality, while maintaining collaboration with marketing, sales, and service teams to clearly communicate the value of the platform. Weisbrod's department will arm the product marketing, software sales, and client support teams with product-focused tools and information and will advance business strategies for the Global Channel Partners program, client self-services department, and global sales representatives.

Eric Weisbrod, Vice President of Product Management, said, "For more than a decade, I've been part of the evolution of InfinityQS and its products and seen the changes in the industry around us. Our latest offering, Enact, capitalizes on advancements in technology and proven statistical methods to give manufacturers the tools and resources they need to truly transform their global operations. With the guidance of our leadership, I'm excited to take on my new role to educate our partners, customers, internal staff, and the market at large on the benefits of our solution and bring back first-hand insights to further the advancement of the platform."

Weisbrod began his career at InfinityQS in 2006 as an Applications Engineer. Taking on new responsibilities and gaining valuable experience with InfinityQS' software and services, Weisbrod worked his way up to a management position as Engineering Project Manager, and subsequently, Director of Technical Services. Weisbrod has implemented Enact, performed software troubleshooting, and handled all technical aspects of Enact services. He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and gained several years of process engineering experience prior to joining InfinityQS.

Fair concluded, "Our leadership recognized Eric's deep understanding of our company and products and saw his innate ability to effectively articulate his knowledge and expertise to staff and customers. He is a strong leader with the respect of everyone in and connected to our organization and we are eager to see him embrace this new role and drive growth and success for the new product management department."

Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

Grocery shoppers in Australia will soon be able to zip in and out of the store in record time, bypassing the lines for cashiers or self-checkout kiosks altogether. They can just walk in, make their selections, and walk out with their bags in hand.

The secret to this express shopping experience is the “Caper Cart,” an AI (artificial intelligence)-powered smart trolley from San Francisco-based Instacart. In its first deployment in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the system is being tested by Coles Supermarkets, a food and beverage retailer with more than 1,800 grocery and liquor stores throughout the country.
