ICAT Logistics Expands into an Additional Market with a New Office in Cincinnati

ICAT Logistics, Inc. (ICAT) has broadened their presence with a new office location outside of Cincinnati, OH. Agency Owner, Chris Rabe, has been working in the industry for over 30 years, and brings a wealth of logistics and freight forwarding knowledge to the company.

The Cincinnati office is positioned in a prime location with entries to several major highways and is less than 10 miles from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The team has a full cartage and crating operation with over 20,000 square-feet of warehouse space available, which is especially ideal for quick access to the pick-ups and deliveries of their customers' freight.

In addition to Rabe joining the team, Operations Manager, Dwight Wagers, also came onboard, and has been working with Chris for over 25 years. Amongst the two of them, they have a combined 60 years of experience in the industry. The entire staff of the new Cincinnati office is highly-qualified to handle all types of freight, from charters to flatbeds to same-day shipments, but has made a name for themselves in the everchanging tradeshow and events industry, shipping exhibit booths to and from various tradeshows across the country.

Known for their expertise and proficiency, the Cincinnati team has built a well-known reputation for providing dedicated customer service and value to their customers, making this new office a significant and exciting addition to the ICAT network. In conjunction with their new ICAT agency opening, they will be seeking to expand their business with the additions of industry sales leaders.

"We decided to join ICAT Logistics because we both share the same vision for growth by providing excellent customer service, proactive communication and complete follow-through," stated Rabe.

Furthermore, Chris says there are several other reasons why he and his team decided to join ICAT Logistics, including:

• Alignment with the overall mission, vision and core values;
• Dedication to their agency partners and commitment to helping them grow; and
• Willingness to go above and beyond to assist their clients in their shipping needs.

"Chris and his team have been long-standing players in the Cincinnati logistics market, building a reputation of reliability and performance," added Rick Campbell, ICAT's President and CEO. "Their values and customer focus align well with our many members in the ICAT network. We are glad to have them join the ICAT family."

ICAT's new Cincinnati office is located at 3031 Dixie Highway, Suite 100A, Edgewood, KY 41017, and can be reached at (859) 282-0101.

Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

Grocery shoppers in Australia will soon be able to zip in and out of the store in record time, bypassing the lines for cashiers or self-checkout kiosks altogether. They can just walk in, make their selections, and walk out with their bags in hand.

The secret to this express shopping experience is the “Caper Cart,” an AI (artificial intelligence)-powered smart trolley from San Francisco-based Instacart. In its first deployment in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the system is being tested by Coles Supermarkets, a food and beverage retailer with more than 1,800 grocery and liquor stores throughout the country.

How green is your glue?

If you’re looking to make the packaging process more eco-friendly, the obvious place to start is with the box itself. And that’s exactly what Salt Lake City-based Packsize did when it made its initial foray into sustainable packaging back in 2002. That year, the company launched its first product, an innovative on-demand packaging system designed to reduce cardboard waste (and the need for filler material) by creating a right-sized box for each shipment.

Now the company is ready for the next step: greening up the glue.
