Solar Transport Appoints New President

Des Moines, IA - March 29, 2018- Solar Transport, among the nation's best when it comes to tank-truck carriers and logistics providers, has announced the appointment of Rich Clair as President. In his new role, Mr. Clair will be responsible for driving transformational, scalable growth at Solar Transport.


"Rich has a proven track record of building growth-oriented logistics companies that deliver value to their associates, customers and shareholders," said Mike Clausen, Chief Direct Investments Officer of parent company Krause Holdings, Inc. "The depth and diversity of executive leadership experience Rich brings will allow Solar to further refine our position in the logistics marketplace."

Prior to joining Solar Transport, Mr. Clair was Chief Operating Officer and still sits on the Board of Directors at Trinity Logistics of Seaford, Delaware where he expanded earnings and revamped the company's strategic plan to focus on capital allocation, business development and technology. Mr. Clair has also served in other executive leadership positions at Highway Technologies, Mail Contractors of America, First Transit, Ryder Systems, and more during his 38-year transportation and logistics industry career. "My wife and I are thrilled to be part of this exciting opportunity to grow Solar's business with the company's associates and customers," said Mr. Clair.

Mr. Clair has a Master of City Planning with a Transportation Concentration from Harvard University and a Bachelor's in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts.
