RENO, Nev. (March 8, 2018) — The University of Nevada, Reno College of Business announced that Paul Brashier has been named their Volunteer of the Year for 2018. Paul has been heavily involved with the college since he first began working at ITS Logistics in 2015.

"I couldn't be more proud of Paul for this tremendous honor," says Mike Crawford, President at ITS Logistics. "Being involved in our community and with the university is so important to ITS, and Paul has really embraced that, and taken it to the next level. He works hard here, but still has so much energy and passion to help these students as they get ready to enter the workforce and start their careers."

Brashier has been in sales and logistics for almost 20 years and has worked for major companies such as Schneider National, Coors Brewing and Coca-Cola. As Director of Operations, he is responsible for recruitment, onboarding and first-week training for the rapidly growing Freight Brokerage division. In addition, Brashier leads the Intermodal team and is responsible for community liaisons with various business and industry groups. When he isn't working, he spends time with his wife and family, travels, and volunteers for the Down Syndrome Network of Northern Nevada.

"It's been great to work with Paul this last year, and we truly appreciate his valuable contributions to the College of Business. In addition, ITS Logistics continues to hire some of our best and brightest graduates, and we look forward to building this beneficial community partnership in the future," says Jim McClenahan, Director of Corporate Outreach at the University of Nevada, Reno, College of Business.

The ties between ITS Logistics and the University continue to grow as ITS has hired more than 30 Nevada grads over the last two years, as well as a handful of former Wolf Pack athletes. In addition, since 2002 ITS has been the official logistics and transportation provider for the University of Nevada, Reno Athletics department, including transporting all of the equipment for the Nevada Wolf Pack football team.

"Paul has been such a big part of our job fairs and events," says Stallar Lufrano-Jardine, Director of Career Services? at the University of Nevada, Reno, College of Business. "He is always someone that I can reach out to in the business community, and he really goes above and beyond to help mentor our students."

The 2018 annual Honors and Awards Banquet will take place on Friday, March 9 at 5: 30 pm, at the Peppermill. This event is not only a way for The College of Business to recognize its outstanding students, faculty, and student organizations, but it also gives students the opportunities to network with local business professionals.
