Quintec Integration, Inc. Celebrates One-Year Anniversary at Its New 20,000+ sq. ft. Headquarters

WAUKESHA, WI (February 15, 2018) - Quintec Integration, Inc., one of the Midwest's leading conveyor system integrators since 1999, celebrated its one-year anniversary at its new headquarters in Waukesha, WI. Requiring more room for expansion due to a quickly growing number of staff and a need for warehousing capabilities, the new facility more than tripled the previous amount of office space and added a 14,400 sq. ft. warehouse. Totaling 20,000 sq. ft., the new facility was completely renovated, creating an open, modern layout equipped with top-of-the-line technologies and high-efficiency heating, cooling, lighting and electrical systems.
"We had been working towards this type of campus for a long time," said James Deppoleto Jr., Founder and President of Quintec Integration, Inc. "The new building is an investment in our future, as well as an inspiring reminder of years of hard work. The success of the first year has proven that we have created an environment that enables growth and allows us to better serve our customers."
The facility is located on 2.6 acres in the heart of Waukesha. Hundreds of thousands of dollars were invested in renovations, completely transforming the interior of the building, which was previously a plumbing company. Now, the Quintec Integration, Inc. campus features 20 ft.+ ceilings, ergonomic work spaces, plentiful lounge areas and breakout rooms equipped with cutting-edge communication equipment. Further distinguishing the company from any other in the industry, the building features a "Silicon Valley'esque" employee-centric environment complete with massage chairs, 12 UHD televisions, indoor basketball court, full kitchen, 2,300 sq. ft. fitness center with private showers and more.
"This is not your run-of-the-mill integration company and, as so, we wanted our campus to reflect that," said Deppoleto. "We want our employees to like coming to work and our customers loving to visit. This environment we've created, paired with a strong set of our core business principals - like discipline, accountability and planning - allows us to best serve our customers and enjoy the time we spend doing it."
The environment is family-friendly, and employee's families are encouraged to visit often and enjoy the amenities. Coming soon to the campus is an indoor sauna, as well as an outdoor garden and amenities for the summer months.

Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

Grocery shoppers in Australia will soon be able to zip in and out of the store in record time, bypassing the lines for cashiers or self-checkout kiosks altogether. They can just walk in, make their selections, and walk out with their bags in hand.

The secret to this express shopping experience is the “Caper Cart,” an AI (artificial intelligence)-powered smart trolley from San Francisco-based Instacart. In its first deployment in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the system is being tested by Coles Supermarkets, a food and beverage retailer with more than 1,800 grocery and liquor stores throughout the country.

How green is your glue?

If you’re looking to make the packaging process more eco-friendly, the obvious place to start is with the box itself. And that’s exactly what Salt Lake City-based Packsize did when it made its initial foray into sustainable packaging back in 2002. That year, the company launched its first product, an innovative on-demand packaging system designed to reduce cardboard waste (and the need for filler material) by creating a right-sized box for each shipment.

Now the company is ready for the next step: greening up the glue.
