Crowley Maritime's Jacksonville Terminal Now Live with Tideworks' CitadelMC SaaS Solution

Tideworks Completes Series of Planned Deployments with Third Implementation in Crowley's Terminal Network

Tideworks Technology® Inc., a full-service provider of comprehensive terminal management and planning software solutions, today announced that Crowley Maritime has gone live with CitadelMC?? , Tideworks' cloud-based SaaS terminal operating system (TOS), at its Jacksonville terminal in Florida. Jacksonville is the third terminal in the Crowley network to go live with Tideworks' TOS, following deployments at Crowley's San Juan terminal in April 2017 and Crowley's Port Everglades terminal in September 2016. Since the implementation was completed, Crowley has seen notable improvements to its operational efficiencies: even with a significant increase in gate volume, average total trucker turn time has improved by nearly 14 minutes, a 37 percent reduction.

"We are excited to grow with Crowley as they expand and modernize terminal operations across their network," said Thomas Rucker, president, Tideworks Technology. "We're pleased the third go-live went smoothly and are confident that our cloud-based services will enable Crowley to increase operational efficiencies with flexibility and improved productivity."

The go-live at Jacksonville included the deployment of Tideworks' Mainsail Vanguard® core TOS, Spinnaker Planning Management System®, Traffic Control™, and GateVision® gate operating system, as well as Tideworks' managed EDI service, EDI Porter?? . All applications are hosted at Tideworks' hardened data center.

Tideworks provided full support throughout the implementation, including project management, software configuration, integration services and go-live assistance. In addition, Tideworks provided software customization to align with the terminal's unique operating practices and will continue to provide ongoing maintenance and support services, including 24/7 technical support and software upgrades. Tideworks is also providing Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities via a secondary data center located in a geographically disparate region.

"Leveraging best-in-class software and SaaS services from Tideworks has been crucial as we continue to modernize technology and operations throughout our network of terminals," said Mike Porkert, director of terminal systems, Crowley Maritime Corp. "Our relationship with Tideworks allows us to be strategic with our approach to these modernization efforts. In particular, Tideworks' TOS was instrumental in allowing us to launch our new container/Roll on-Roll off (ConRo) vessels that provide service between Jacksonville and San Juan, Puerto Rico."
