LLamasoft to Lead Conversations on Supply Chain Transformation and Excellence at CSCMP EDGE 2017

Company will join pacesetting customers Michael Kors, U.S. Silica and Argos in sharing of best practices for optimizing and deriving value from supply chain planning and design.

ANN ARBOR, Mich.—September 6, 2017—LLamasoft, a global leader in supply chain optimization software and solutions, today announced details of its participation at CSCMP EDGE 2017, taking place September 24-27, 2017 in Atlanta. At the event, LLamasoft will partner with customers Michael Kors, U.S Silica and Argos to share innovative new approaches to supply chain planning, transformation and excellence. These companies will discuss the benefits of such initiatives, implementations and best practices for replicating this success across your own organization.

Hosted by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), #EDGE2017 brings together over 3,000 supply chain professionals and thought leaders each year to exchange ideas and learn how to make their supply chains work more efficiently, effectively and exceptionally. A New Approach to Supply Chain Planning

Argos: Omni-Channel Transformation Leveraging the Store Network

What: Argos, a £5.7bn UK retailer operating 840+ stores, transformed to an agile fulfilment model, with same-day choice of delivery window or store pick-up to 95% UK households. Argos began this five year transformation plan in 2013, which leveraged Llamasoft modeling technology. This session will discuss how that transformation was made, and what lessons were learned along the way.

As a result of LLamasoft's work with Argos, this customer case study has been nominated for the The CSCMP and SupplyChainBrain Supply Chain Innovation Award™. In this session at CSCMP EDGE, both LLamasoft and Argos will present and compete as one of six finalists for this year's award.

Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

Grocery shoppers in Australia will soon be able to zip in and out of the store in record time, bypassing the lines for cashiers or self-checkout kiosks altogether. They can just walk in, make their selections, and walk out with their bags in hand.
