Barcoding, Inc. Named to 2016 FL100+ List

Leader in cutting edge technology for the supply chain recognized for the impact its solutions have to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and connectivity in the food and beverage industry

Barcoding, Inc. Named to 2016 FL100+ List

BALTIMORE- Dec. 16, 2016— Barcoding, Inc., a leader in supply chain efficiency, accuracy, and connectivity, has been named to the FL100+ Top Software and Technology Providers annual award list, presented by Food Logistics. FL100+ recognizes software and technology providers whose products and services are critical for companies in the global food and beverage supply chain.

Barcoding's Active Asset Tracker (AAT)™ Solution, which leverages the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons, is a solution that turns physical assets into sensors that provide enterprises with near real-time physical inventory visibility. In combination with Barcoding's mobile AAT App (compatible with iOS and Android), the BLE beacons allow users to continuously and accurately track information about an asset's presence, temperature and movement, which is ideal for the food and beverage industry. Once placed on tracked assets, the beacons communicate data every two seconds to smartphones over 150 feet away, even when inside a vehicle or container.

"Our AAT™ Solution can be used as a temperature control for the delivery of chilled products in the food and beverage industry," says Jay Steinmetz, CEO, Barcoding, Inc. "Organizations need to make sure their products maintain their chill because if for some reason they went outside the threshold for temperature, then that would result in wasted product and lost money. The solution also allows for constant communication to the network and has the ability to generate notifications to the responsibly parties if an issue is to occur. This allows the organization's process to be efficient and accurate."

The FL100+ is designed to serve as a resource guide for the readers of Food Logistics. Companies who earned a spot on the FL100+ list are featured in the November/December 2016 issue of Food Logistics, as well as online at www.foodlogistics.com.

"The software and technology sector continues to generate new and exciting opportunities for growers, food manufacturers, grocery retailers and the many logistics providers that support them," notes Lara L. Sowinski, editorial director at Food Logistics. "Today's cloud-based solutions and mobile connectivity are helping create tools that are more flexible, affordable and responsive, making software and technology even more valuable to those in the global food supply chain."
