Aquaservice Chooses XPO Logistics to Manage Its Bottled Water Transport Operations in Spain

GREENWICH, CT - XPO Logistics (NYSE: XPO) has been selected by bottled water distributor Aquaservice to manage the full scope of its third-party logistics operations for bottled water in Spain.

Under the new agreement, XPO Logistics will load and transport full water containers from Aquaservice's five natural springs to the company's 14 branches throughout Spain. XPO will also manage the reverse logistics, which involves returning empty containers to the springs. Aquaservice will continue to provide the final distribution to customers in 25 Spanish provinces.

To guarantee that the containers are loaded and delivered according to stringent timeframes, XPO has designed an integrated transport and logistics solution in Valencia, where Aquaservice's head office is located. The facility acts like a control tower for the XPO team on site, with customized technology that manages product and container flows.

Alberto Pradilla, sales director-transport for XPO Logistics in Iberia, commented: "We've developed a solution that is perfectly tailored to Aquaservice's requirements. The operation meets highly demanding standards, specifically in terms of load times and compliance, made possible through our close cooperation with the Aquaservice team. Our two companies share a dedication to continuous improvement and constant innovation."

Santiago Peraire, procurement director for Aquaservice, added: "XPO Logistics excels at developing innovative operating processes, and has constantly adapted to our ever-changing needs during our current growth phase. Without a doubt, this collaboration has met the high level of service we require and will contribute to our growth strategy."
