Railinc Wins NCTA Industry-Driven Technology Company Award

CARY, NC—November 17, 2016 (James Street Media Services)—Railinc Corp. has been named a winner at the 2016 NC Tech Awards in the category of "Industry-Driven Company." The NC Tech Awards are recognized as North Carolina's largest and most prestigious technology awards program, celebrating innovation and excellence in the state. The annual showcase honors companies and individuals who represent the best and brightest in technology and business.


"North Carolina is known for its world-class technology community, and it's an honor for Railinc to earn this recognition," said Allen West, Railinc president and CEO. "The award is a real tribute to our great employees and their commitment to serving the freight rail industry through our innovative technology solutions."

This is the second time Railinc has been named Industry-Driven Company of the Year. The award recognizes companies that have provided a product or service to a specific industry and that have made a notable impact to the betterment of that industry. Railinc's nomination for 2016 highlighted the company's work on two major rail industry technology initiatives.

"Since 1995, the NC Tech Awards has honored excellence and innovation throughout North Carolina, representing the best and brightest," said Brooks Raiford, president and CEO of NCTA. "As a winner, Railinc has distinguished itself as a peer-leader, and we are proud to recognize them as a 2016 NC Tech Awards winner."

Winners were recognized at NCTA's annual awards gala on November 10 in Raleigh, N.C., presented in conjunction with title sponsor Cherry Bekaert.
