Cloud Logistics Partners with Inolog to bring Same Day TMS to Europe

Cloud Logistics announced a partnership today with Inolog to begin servicing the United Kingdom, Ireland and other regions in Europe. Inolog helps manufacturers, retailers and third party logistics providers by offering innovative logistics solutions for competitive advantage and sustainability.

"While we continue to grow and expand in the United States, there remains tremendous demand in England and elsewhere in Europe for an intuitive TMS that can be implemented in days or weeks," said Mark Nix, Chief Executive Officer of Cloud Logistics. "In addition, many of our global customers, such as Sapa Extrusions, Spirit AeroSystems, M&G DuraVent, and Container Centralen (CC Racks) have operations in Europe that could serve as ideal launching points for our partnership."

Inolog was founded by Craig Sears-Black, an industry and regional expert who has held leadership positions with Manhattan Associates, Apple and Isotrak. "At Inolog, our focus is to help our customers achieve sustainable growth and success. The Cloud Logistics solution is a perfect fit for the United Kingdom market. There is a great need for a TMS that can be installed very quickly and provide an immediate return on investment. We're very excited to be working together."

The Cloud Logistics solution offers a combination of capabilities that are very well-suited to the U.K. market. Providing a TMS that offers both carrier selection and tendering along with mobile proof-of-delivery, integration with GPS tracking devices and geo-fencing will help English shippers reduce freight costs, improve visibility and enhance customer service.

The Inolog partnership is the latest in a series of recently announced relationships by Cloud Logistics. In addition to expanding into new markets with Inolog, Cloud Logistics has also added an integrated solution for API-based integration with LTL carriers via project44. Additionally, working with BreakthroughFuel, Cloud Logistics is also helping customers more effectively manage and control fuel purchases.

Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

Grocery shoppers in Australia will soon be able to zip in and out of the store in record time, bypassing the lines for cashiers or self-checkout kiosks altogether. They can just walk in, make their selections, and walk out with their bags in hand.

The secret to this express shopping experience is the “Caper Cart,” an AI (artificial intelligence)-powered smart trolley from San Francisco-based Instacart. In its first deployment in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the system is being tested by Coles Supermarkets, a food and beverage retailer with more than 1,800 grocery and liquor stores throughout the country.
