LEXINGTON, S.C. (Oct. 10, 2016) Southeastern Freight Lines, the leading provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, today announced the opening of a new service center in the Florence, Kentucky area.
The new facility, located at 1040 Fleet Blvd. in Independence, features 71 dock doors.
"The new service center in Florence will fulfill the need for a central hub in Kentucky," said Kim Shore, regional vice president of operations, Southeastern Freight Lines. "As the fourth permanent service center location opened in the state within the past 18 months, we are continuing the forward momentum and look forward to providing our quality without question service to even more customers in and around Kentucky over the next few years."
To oversee daily operations, Southeastern has selected Brannon Player as the new service center manager in Florence. Player has more than 14 years of experience with Southeastern, most recently serving as service center manager in Southeastern's temporary facility in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The new facility will employ 23 associates, from service center managers to pick-up and delivery drivers, with plans to hire more associates as the business grows.
