DSW Sets Out to Transform Itself and the Retail Industry with Infor

Leading Footwear Retailer Will Transform its Business with Modern, Cloud Software, and Co-Innovate with Infor on a Converged Commerce Application

NEW YORK - Sept. 7, 2016 - Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, and DSW Inc. (NYSE: DSW), a leading branded footwear and accessories retailer that offers a wide selection of brand name and designer shoes and accessories for women, men and kids, today announced a partnership to deliver a back-office transformation for DSW and a new converged commerce application for modern retailing. DSW joins Infor as a co-innovation partner for Infor CloudSuite Retail, a new, modern suite of enterprise applications delivered in the cloud and designed for today's retailing landscape.

"Meeting customer expectations for a seamless shopping experience is paramount for success," said Ashlee Aldridge, CIO, DSW Inc. "To be the footwear retailer of choice, we need cloud-based, mobile-friendly software that is built to transcend technological advances, and flexible enough to scale when the market demands it."

The first part of the partnership is designed to bring a digital transformation to DSW's operations through the implementation of the latest Infor software. Infor CloudSuite, delivered on Amazon Web Services (AWS), will enable the retailer to take advantage of security features, upgrades with minimal downtime, and access to supercomputing on a massive scale to transform data analysis and decision-making.

The second part of the partnership brings development teams from DSW and Infor, including Hook & Loop, Infor's Manhattan-based in-house design agency, together to develop a new application that will help power the DSW shopping experience and contribute to CloudSuite Retail. This co-development work on a converged commerce, or omni-channel, application will enable DSW to better serve its customers and empower them to control their shopping experience.

"Ten months ago when Infor announced our intention to create a software suite to modernize retail, none of us expected such an overwhelming response - retailers are desperate to be free of the constraints of decades-old software," said Corey Tollefson, SVP and general manager of Infor Retail. "By co-innovating with leaders like DSW, we're not just building the best end-to-end retail system ever created—we're capitalizing on the convergence of physical and digital commerce by using data in unique ways to anticipate and meet customers' needs, and ultimately transform the shopping experience."
