Managed Application Services Provider TriCore Solutions Acquires G3G, Inc. to Expand its Full Service SAP Service Offerings

TriCore Solutions, the application management experts and an SAP-certified cloud hosting and SAP HANA managed service provider, today announced the successful acquisition of G3G, Inc., an SAP certified channel partner focused on enabling customers to grow through process and technology optimization, and formerly the U.S. division of U.K. based G3G Worldwide.

The combined companies provide TriCore's customers with an end-to-end SAP solution: from assessment and design to implementation and support as well as development and ongoing continuous improvements. This complete scope of SAP services now mirrors TriCore's full suite of services for Oracle ERP solutions, including E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft.

The deal follows TriCore Solutions' acquisition of Group Basis in September 2015, a company that specialized in infrastructure, database and Basis support for SAP, as well as its subsequent organic growth initiatives within SAP, including expansion of competencies and supported enterprise customers. The transaction with G3G, Inc. will more than double the size of TriCore's SAP practice.

"We are thrilled to welcome the G3G, Inc. team to the TriCore family," said Mark Clayman, CEO, TriCore Solutions. "Being able to provide a full suite of services for ERP solutions has been a cornerstone to the value that we provide to our customers and a key driver of our growth over the years. When we added SAP Basis support last fall through our acquisition of Group Basis, we already developed our strategy to look for a team of industry experts that could expand our services for SAP solutions by adding operational, functional and technical development services. We know we have found that group in G3G, Inc. Through this acquisition, we'll be able to address the full set of customer needs for SAP solutions, enabling them to become leaders in their industries."

With many companies running multiple enterprise ERP solutions from Oracle and SAP to support their business operations, TriCore has now separated itself as the go-to partner to provide end-to-end enterprise application services.

"We couldn't be happier to be joining TriCore under the vision of its current leadership," said Steve Woodgate, President, G3G, Inc. "We are excited to introduce to the team our business process experts who have worked in industry before moving into IT and, as a result, developed deep expertise within SAP. We call this our business-before-IT approach: by giving customers access to experts in their own fields - finance consultants who are qualified accountants and warehouse management consultants who have personally designed, implemented and managed warehouses, for example - we are confident in our ability to implement industry-proven business methodologies and solutions. TriCore has signaled a strong commitment to SAP solutions and service excellence through this latest acquisition and we're eager to continue that effort."

With G3G, Inc.'s expertise, TriCore will now be able to offer functional and development application support, helping companies optimize business processes, providing training and education to make the most of their SAP platform, and enhancing a 24x7 help-desk. G3G, Inc. has established a strong reputation for their no-hassle approach to rapid implementation, whether for new functionality or for customers entirely new to SAP environments.

These capabilities complement TriCore Solutions' infrastructure, database and Basis support for SAP. With all offerings now available through TriCore Solutions, customers can more easily consolidate IT outsourcing vendors into one trusted partner. The investment signals TriCore's intent to continue to invest in and enhance its capabilities for SAP users to reflect the range of services available for its Oracle customers, upon which capabilities the Company set its foundation.

G3G, Inc. employees, making up more than 300 cumulative years of SAP experience, will join TriCore Solutions as part of the deal, including the appointment of Woodgate as general manager of SAP services at TriCore. The acquisition is a key initiative to continue the accelerated growth for TriCore, building momentum from the Company's more than doubled MRR achievement in the last three years.

Ropes and Gray, LLP and Holland and Knight, LLP represented TriCore Solutions and G3G Worldwide as legal counsel, respectively. G3G Worldwide was also advised by Potomac Business Capital.

Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

Grocery shoppers in Australia will soon be able to zip in and out of the store in record time, bypassing the lines for cashiers or self-checkout kiosks altogether. They can just walk in, make their selections, and walk out with their bags in hand.

The secret to this express shopping experience is the “Caper Cart,” an AI (artificial intelligence)-powered smart trolley from San Francisco-based Instacart. In its first deployment in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the system is being tested by Coles Supermarkets, a food and beverage retailer with more than 1,800 grocery and liquor stores throughout the country.

How green is your glue?

If you’re looking to make the packaging process more eco-friendly, the obvious place to start is with the box itself. And that’s exactly what Salt Lake City-based Packsize did when it made its initial foray into sustainable packaging back in 2002. That year, the company launched its first product, an innovative on-demand packaging system designed to reduce cardboard waste (and the need for filler material) by creating a right-sized box for each shipment.

Now the company is ready for the next step: greening up the glue.
