Team NEO Appoints New Board Member to its Board of Directors
Doug Sibila, CEO of Canton, OH-based Peoples Services, joins the organization's Board


Cleveland, Ohio - May 26, 2016 — The Board of Directors of Team NEO appointed Doug Sibila, President/CEO of Peoples Services, Inc. to the organization's board. Team NEO's Board oversees the economic development organization and is responsible for leading the implementation of Northeast Ohio's Regional Economic Competitiveness Strategy (RECS), which was created by business and philanthropic leaders to guide the region's growth.

"We continue to build Team NEO's board with outstanding leaders from exemplary businesses," said Team NEO CEO, Bill Koehler. "Doug has successfully grown his business and we know his expertise will help Team NEO fulfill its mission to grow and strengthen the economy of our 18-county region."

Team NEO's Board of Directors consists of regional leaders from the business, philanthropic and higher education communities. The Board was reconstituted in 2015 to better align with the strategies put forth by RECS.

About Doug Sibila

Douglas J. Sibila is a third generation owner of Peoples Services, Inc. He was born in Canton, Ohio and raised in Stark County. He graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a business degree with a double major in accounting and finance. After graduation, Doug worked three years for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in Cleveland, Ohio and New York City. Upon returning to the family business in 1990, Doug spent time running operations in West Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia. He was named Vice President in 1992 responsible for sales and marketing. In 2001, he was named President and Chief Operating Officer and became CEO in 2004.

Sibila has been active in many community business and volunteer organizations including current positions on the Stark County Port Authority, Stark Development Board of Trustees, Ohio Trucking Association Executive Committee, Chairman IWLA-PAC, Aultman Health Foundation Chairman, Buckeye Council Boy Scouts Executive Board, and Legatus. Doug is married to Carrie Strayer Sibila and has two daughters, Helen and Kathryn.

Peoples Services is an asset based, family owned company providing third party logistics services. Peoples Services operates over 6 million square feet of public and contract warehouse space in 35 facilities throughout six states; Ohio, Michigan, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. In the past six years Peoples Services has tripled revenue and increased their employee count from 167 to over 500. Peoples Services is on target to increase their footprint and add economic strength and support to their communities.
