Pelican BioThermal Looks to Further Global Presence with Addition of Allen Yun

(MINNEAPOLIS- May 24, 2016) - Pelican BioThermal, a global leader providing the broadest and most innovative range of temperature-controlled packaging solutions serving the life sciences industry, announces the addition of Allen Yun as Director of Global Services. In this role, Yun will develop and implement strategic plans as the company's service offerings expand across the globe.

Yun brings nearly 20 years of executive and management experience to his new role at Pelican BioThermal. Most recently, he held the position of Director of Strategic Initiatives for OPTUM, an information and technology-enabled health services business, and was responsible for driving critical business improvements.

"Allen Yun's priority as our new Director of Global Services will be to build upon the existing global reach of our vital temperature-controlled packaging products and solutions," said Dave Williams, President of Pelican BioThermal. "As a determined and passionate leader who drives continuous strategic improvements, I am confident Allen is a good fit in this role."

Pelican BioThermal has seen phenomenal growth in recent years and have continued growth in 2016 through the launch a new Asia headquarters in Singapore and new global partnerships in Brazil and Chile. As the Director of Global Services, Yun will develop, oversee and implement programs and projects that continue to support Pelican BioThermal's strategy and global growth strategies.

Yun replaces Dick Peters who made major contributions to the business during his tenure as leader of Global Services. Peters retired from Pelican BioThermal in April, 2016 and is one of the founding members of the company. Peters led the Engineering, Operations and Service organizations during his tenure and he will continue on in a contract role for strategic Services projects.
