Fully automated packing solution recently launched in the U.S. is a proven success in Europe

ProShip, Inc.'s CVP-500 Fit-to-Size Packing System Wins Prestigious Awards

Brookfield, Wis., March 31, 2016 - ProShip, Inc., a Neopost company, today announced the CVP-500 automated packing solution has won three prestigious awards in Europe. The SITL Innovation Award in France and the Dutch Packaging Award in the Netherlands are the two most recent recognitions, on top of winning the Logistica Award in the Netherlands in November 2015. The CVP-500 unique, fit-to-size packing system was developed in the Netherlands by Neopost and was recently launched in the United States by ProShip.

"These awards represent a clean sweep of European recognition over the past six months. They highlight CVP-500's success in Europe and its potential in the United States. We are introducing this innovative packing system to help U.S. companies achieve the significant savings in shipping costs that many European companies are already realizing," said Scott Eggenberger, Director of Business Development/CVP-500 of ProShip, Inc.

The CVP-500 optimizes all steps of package fulfillment. This automated packing system packs single and multi-item orders with variable dimensions in a custom-fit box. Once an order is picked, the CVP-500 builds, fills, folds and labels each parcel in one seamless process. Its fit-to-size packing automation creates the smallest parcel needed by reducing package volume and eliminating void fill, resulting in the lowest possible shipping costs.

This unique packing solution was awarded the SITL Innovation Award in 2016 for its ability to optimize and speed-up all steps in the package fulfillment process. The jury, a group specially chosen for its knowledge in transportation and logistics, emphasized the CVP-500's environmental benefits by reducing shipping volume and using less corrugated packaging.

The CVP-500 automated packing system was also awarded the Dutch Packaging Award 2016. The judges were very impressed with the cost-effectiveness of the CVP-500. This award is presented every year for a product that was developed and created in the Netherlands.

The CVP-500 won the Logistica Award for addressing the packing demands of the growing e-commerce industry. The judges also noted the packing system's ability to use less packing material and speed-up the fulfillment process. Presented every three years, the Logistica Award recognizes logistics innovations based on commercial value, level of innovation and creativity, productivity and efficiency and viability.

How green is your glue?

If you’re looking to make the packaging process more eco-friendly, the obvious place to start is with the box itself. And that’s exactly what Salt Lake City-based Packsize did when it made its initial foray into sustainable packaging back in 2002. That year, the company launched its first product, an innovative on-demand packaging system designed to reduce cardboard waste (and the need for filler material) by creating a right-sized box for each shipment.
