MADDEN COMMUNICATIONS STREAMLINES CORE BUSINESS PROCESSES WITH PROCESS DIRECTOR

San Diego, CA -- January 26, 2016-- BP Logix, provider of BPM solutions for rapid workflow app development, today announced that Madden Communications, a leading provider of retail marketing supply chain management, has selected Process Director to address its workflow and business process requirements.

With customers like MillerCoors, Rémy Cointreau, Pabst Brewing Company, Mike's Hard Lemonade and Bacardi counting on Madden to manage, produce and distribute multi-faceted point-of-sale promotions, IT management needed to implement a workflow solution that could address complex customer lifecycle requirements. After evaluating a number of products based on 40 items of functionality, Madden selected BP Logix Process Director to manage its core business services.

Recognizing that the world of retail marketing is becoming increasingly competitive, Madden Communications' ability to manage promotional initiatives and deliver integrated solutions that reinforce customers' brands is a major contributor to the Agency acquiring and retaining clients. As a leader in retail marketing management, Madden manages these complex promotional processes, delivering increased efficiency, improving execution timing and achieving profound cost savings for some of the world's biggest brands.

Allan Furman is VP of IT at Madden Communications, responsible for the company's technology including its infrastructure, applications and development. His team supports users throughout the United States who, in turn, support clients globally. Furman had a vision for the processes that represent core services used by each client and tasked his team with evaluating the market for more robust tools. After a two month process that involved 40 items of functionality and a multi-product comparison, Furman's team selected Process Director.

"The decision to implement a workflow solution was a business decision we needed to make," Furman stated. "We needed visibility into all the jobs and projects the Agency is working on. We also needed to integrate with our ERP system and a custom "Google-like" search tool. Process Director is a polished and seasoned tool that enables us to achieve those goals. We have over 100 software packages we use throughout the company and it is in the top three," he remarked.

"Companies seeking to provide a level of customer engagement that differentiates them from others in their space need the flexibility and robust architecture that Process Director provides," said Jay O'Brien, BP Logix CEO. "We are pleased to support customers like Madden who understand the importance of fulfilling customer requirements as much as we do," he concluded.

Australian supermarket chain rolls out AI-powered grocery carts

Grocery shoppers in Australia will soon be able to zip in and out of the store in record time, bypassing the lines for cashiers or self-checkout kiosks altogether. They can just walk in, make their selections, and walk out with their bags in hand.

The secret to this express shopping experience is the “Caper Cart,” an AI (artificial intelligence)-powered smart trolley from San Francisco-based Instacart. In its first deployment in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, the system is being tested by Coles Supermarkets, a food and beverage retailer with more than 1,800 grocery and liquor stores throughout the country.

How green is your glue?

If you’re looking to make the packaging process more eco-friendly, the obvious place to start is with the box itself. And that’s exactly what Salt Lake City-based Packsize did when it made its initial foray into sustainable packaging back in 2002. That year, the company launched its first product, an innovative on-demand packaging system designed to reduce cardboard waste (and the need for filler material) by creating a right-sized box for each shipment.

Now the company is ready for the next step: greening up the glue.
