Columbus, Ohio (Jan. 19, 2016) — VARGO®, a leading provider of material-handling system integration, warehouse execution software and equipment solutions for major fulfillment and distribution centers, has hired Daniel Eric Ford as Director of Software.

In this role, Ford will lead the continued development of VARGO's Continuous Order Fulfillment Enterprise (COFE®) software. COFE® is a dynamic warehouse execution software that has been implemented in many leading fulfillment centers to drive the intelligent warehouse processes by utilizing pull-based/lean manufacturing principles. Prior to joining VARGO®, Ford was director of product engineering at Triplefin, where he led the initiative to overhaul the processes in the product-development organization. He also worked as the e-commerce manager at Cornerstone Brands, where he oversaw a team that built and supported seven e-commerce sites; and he worked as the portfolio manager at Quest Diagnostics Healthcare Solutions (formerly MedPlus) and as a consultant for Compuware.

Ford earned a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from University of Cincinnati. He also holds the following professional certifications: a Certified Six Sigma Lean Black Belt, a Project Management Professional and a Certified Scrum Master.
