French transportation and logistics firm Bolloré Logistics has signed a strategic agreement with logistics solutions group WiseTech Global, Alexandria, Australia, to roll out Wise Tech's CargoWise One integrated logistics solutions platform globally, the company said Wednesday.
CargoWise One allows logistics service providers to conduct complex transactions in freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, shipping, tracking, land transport, e-commerce, and cross-border compliance from one database across multiple users, functions, countries, languages, and currencies, the company said.
Bolloré Logistics uses the platform in Australia and New Zealand for freight forwarding and customs management operations; the new agreement broadens the service to include all offerings globally. The roll-out will also support Bolloré's new transportation management system (TMS) program, the company said.
"We have chosen the CargoWise One single platform software solution, which fully responds to our needs and ambitions," Thierry Ehrenbogen, Bolloré Logistics' CEO said in a statement announcing the roll-out. "This new tool will gradually replace all of our existing TMS software."
