Shipping and logistics firm Magnate Worldwide (MWW) has acquired Domek Logistics, LLC, the company reported today. Domek will become part of MWW's international freight forwarding and customs brokerage subsidiary, Masterpiece International.

Based in Crystal Lake, IL, Domek provides asset-light freight forwarding and customs house brokerage services to customers in the Midwest. The company provides international transportation needs, including air, ocean, full-container/less-than-container loads, multi-vendor consolidations, rail and truck, according to MWW, Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

The acquisition gives New York-based Masterpiece International 17 offices across the United States, including locations in Mount Prospect and Crystal Lake, IL.

MWW said it will continue to seek growth through acquisition; the Domek Logistics deal is the company's fifth acquisition to date.
