BNSF Logistics acquires regional 3PL Unlimited Freight

Move strengthens 3PL's service offering for flatbed movements across North America, BNSF Logistics says.

BNSF Logistics LLC, the third-party logistics (3PL) provider unit of BNSF Railway, said today that it has acquired regional 3PL Unlimited Freight LLC in a move to strengthen its service offering for flatbed movements across North America.

Flower Mound, Texas-based BNSF Logistics said the deal adds experienced employees and new customers to the organization, while increasing the firm's geographic footprint, according to a statement by BNSF Logistics President Dan Curtis.


Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The deal is already complete, with a notice on the BNSF Logistics website informing customers that all invoices for loads picked up on or after July 1 will be sent from BNSF Logistics, not from New Braunfels, Texas-based Unlimited Freight. Likewise, both current and new carriers were asked to submit invoices and expect checks from a BNSF office.
