Truckstop, Chainalytics combine on database

Partnership to blend spot, contract rate data in one place.

Load board operator Truckstop.com and supply chain consultancy Chainalytics have partnered in a move to combine contract and spot rates from both databases into one product that will first be displayed on Truckstop's "Rate Analysis" platform.

The partnership was announced Tuesday at Truckstop's annual user conference, "Connected," in Dallas. The companies said they will combine Chainalytics' contract rate data with Truckstop's spot market data to provide a broad view of the direction in freight rates.

"Through this partnership, we'll provide a solution for logistics service providers to gain greater visibility into contract and spot rates anywhere in North America in one place," said Gary Girotti, executive vice president of Atlanta-based Chainalytics. Truckstop is based in New Plymouth, Idaho.
